Psychological safety has been described by Google as the single strongest influence on performance, and as being critical to making a team ‘work’.This one-day workshop is designed to help people managers and leaders explore what it means to work in a psychologically safe environment, and the benefits that can be expected when everyone in the team feels comfortable to be truly themselves whilst at work.The workshop explores what happens when psychological safety is present within a team, as well as what happens when it is not.Using a practical, yet simple model, delegates will be able to identify and understand the elements that make up a psychologically safe team environment, and how to begin the process of proactively driving forward an agenda of psychological safety.In addition to many practical tips and tools to develop psychological safety, there is also an option for manages to gain crucial data on how psychologically safe their team feel now, prior to the workshop, with follow data up 3-months post-workshop.Although not essential for attendance on the workshop, many find this information invaluable.

Team psychological safety

This half-day hour workshop brings your whole team together to create, in real time, a psychologically safe space, in which to discuss fundamental issues that may be helping or hindering your team’s psychological safety. Using data collected anonymously from all team members, they will explore what gets in the way of optimum personal and team performance. It is an opportunity for every member of the team to safely have a voice, be heard and air issues and challenges that may otherwise be hidden or overlooked.It is a chance for insights to be heard and ideas to flourish, without fear of ridicule or rejection.It is a safe space for people to clarify and celebrate what works for the team, as well as identify changes within the way of working that the team would value the most and which will bring the biggest benefits, resulting in a commitment to small-step actions that will bind the team and move them closer to sustainable high performance.It will also demonstrate what can be achieved when psychological safety is present and explore ways of maintaining such a team environment.
