Counselling and Therapeutic Services

Creating a safe space to explore challenges

There are times - like during the recent pandemic and now, with anxiety around the cost of living crisis rising, when a more in-depth, intensive therapeutic approach is needed to help individuals through challenging times. Our team of trained professional Counsellors, Psychotherapists and Life Coaches are able to offer confidential support in a therapeutic context, with the aim of helping individuals to resolve their personal issues and get back on track.

Our Counsellors and Psychotherapists are either BACP or UKCP Registered, and are highly experienced in working within a corporate environment, where the pressure can sometimes become overwhelming for some people. We know that employees value being able to access professionals from outside of their organisation, and that doing this in an impartial yet solution focused way, can create a path forward. Many people are struggling to overcome the challenges they are now facing in a highly pressured Covid world, which is fast paced and continuously changing.

This can be particularly important for some key talent, who may feel they have nobody within the organisation that they can turn to.

Creating a safe space to explore personal challenges with empathy and understanding, whilst offering tools and techniques to build personal resilience - letting go, regaining confidence and belief in yourself and developing effective coping strategies - are some of the ways in which our professionals achieve outstanding results.

Our aim is to get people back on track, as quickly and effectively as possible.

Emotional Health Support Service

- August 2019 – Ongoing

This large finance company engaged us to provide on-site wellbeing services for its employees across multiple sites in the UK. Since the Pandemic, the service has been provided virtually, or by telephone, but has been no less effective.

“Having the support we need over the phone is brilliant, especially in these times. I had my phone call today, it felt really good to have someone there to listen to me and guide me in the right way.”

Our client is passionate about making their company a great place to work, and so they want to support their 3000+ strong workforce to optimise and maintain great mental and emotional health.

Mental Health First Aiders were already on site, but it was increasingly recognised that support would be beneficial not only to those who may be experiencing poor mental health, but also to staff experiencing more moderate issues, so that any difficulties they may be facing could be identified and addressed in a supportive and effective way early on.

“WorkingWell is a great way to seek support, advice and just in general someone to talk to when you feel it is needed. You are made to feel very supported and comfortable by the caring staff. I have used this service to help with many different emotions and situations that have occurred. Every session has helped take a weight off my shoulders and left me feeling that little bit more positive. The advice and care given to me by this service has made a huge impact on daily struggles when facing mental health and I have learnt different ways I can keep in a positive mind set.”

Our therapists provide confidential and on demand one-to-one support for any employee experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, low mood, or who just wants some help with their mental and emotional wellbeing and would benefit from having a safe, non-judgemental space to talk.

The support is flexed depending upon the needs of the individual, and includes:

  • Safe and confidential space to talk about issues

  • Assessment of opportunities to improve wellbeing

  • Tools and techniques to support great wellbeing

  • Connecting the individual with helpful resources and other support

  • Demystifying and encouraging the individual to access pre-existing EAP or private

  • healthcare

  • Referral to GP where relevant

  • Mental Health First Aid support for individuals in crisis

  • Supporting Line Managers who are concerned about a team member

The service has recently been expanded to include mindfulness sessions for teams and workgroups as well as mental health awareness sessions to help our client make mental health conversations part of their open culture.

“Following our conversation, I have had the best work feedback ever (even before my problems). I’m working so well. In my head I’m so much more focused as I don’t dwell on my problems so much, as she showed me how to deal with these emotions and still be able to focus! I would recommend the WorkingWell service to anyone with a problem, however small or big!”
